General Travelling Information
We suppose most of you will land at Paris/Roissy Charles de Gaulle airport (CDG).
From Roissy you will have several options to reach Saint Malo. These different options are rather similar and your choice will mostly depend upon your time of landing.
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
· At Roissy Charles De Gaulle airport take an AIR FRANCE shuttle
bus to Paris Gare Montparnasse train station (45 min). There depending upon the time you
could take a high speed train (TGV) that goes directly to Saint Malo or a high speed train
to Rennes (2 hours). There, in Rennes, you would have to take a local train that usually
leaves within 15 min after your arrival in Rennes from another track. This local train
will reach Saint Malo in 1 hour.
As soon as possible the timetables of these different routes will be
posted on this web site. Alternatively you can consult the French railroads web site:
www.voyages-sncf.com/leisure/fr/launch/home/
and the AIR FRANCEs web site www.airfrance.fr.
As already said these different routes are very similar and your choice
may depend upon your time of arrival. In any case we recommend to land at CDG before 11 am
on Wednesday so that you will have enough time to reach Saint Malo and be registered at the Palais du Grand Large and go to your hotel.
Obviously some of you may land at Orly (South of Paris). In that case
options similar to options 1 and 3 will be possible.

As you may have already noticed the last scientific session will terminate Saturday at 5 pm. We hope many of you will have time to enjoy a free evening in the inner city of Saint Malo, but for those of you that have an early flight on Sunday morning there is only one possibility.
Take a local train from Saint Malo station to Rennes:
Departure time: 5.50 pm / 6.50 pm / 7.50 pm
Arrival: 6.53 pm / 7.53 pm / 8.53 pm
Book a hotel room in Rennes (see below).
Sunday morning take a taxi to Rennes Saint Jacques Airport (travel time ~ 20 min; cost ~ 15 Euros) and the Air France Flight # AF5720 to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. Take off 7.20 am, Landing 8.30 am (Roissy CDG terminal 2). Please note
(1) Check in at Rennes Saint Jacques starts 1 hour before take off, thus there is no need to be at the airport 2 hours in advances as it is usually recommended for international flights.
(2) We hope not too many attendees will decide to take this flight. It is a rather small plane with not too many seats. In any case if you want or need to take this flight we strongly recommend doing it in advances.
(3) If in Paris you’ll have a connecting flight with a Sky team member (Air France, Delta, KLM, Aeromexico, Alitalia, Korean Air, Northwest Airlines, Czech Airlines, Continental Airlines and Aeroflot) your luggage will be registered from the Rennes airport all the way through your final destination. If your connecting flight is from any other companies then you will have to transfer yourself your luggage from one company to the other and check in again.
If your flight takes off in the afternoon from Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG airport) then the following option would be more relax.
Leave Saint Malo by train Sunday morning at 7.50 to be in Rennes at 8.42 where you will have from an adjacent platform a TGV that will take you directly to CDG.
Departure time Rennes railways station 9.10 am
Arrival time CDG 12. 14 am
